Blas was born from a love of exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, and the quiet magic of dining well at home.
Founded by private chef Darren Morton, Blas brings together years of experience in luxury hospitality with a modern, health-led approach to food. Darren began his career in Scotland, working across exclusive venues, country clubs, and 5-star wedding destinations before moving to London — where he joined the world-renowned Savoy Hotel.
At The Savoy, one of the most iconic luxury hotels in the world, Darren led banqueting operations and worked alongside world-class chefs to deliver unforgettable dining experiences for royalty, world leaders, and A-list celebrities. It was there he developed not only technical precision, but a deep respect for service, detail, and calm under pressure — the foundations of five-star hospitality.
Alongside his culinary development, Darren trained as a personal coach and studied nutrition — combining classical technique with a holistic understanding of wellbeing. This fusion of fine dining and thoughtful nourishment now defines everything Blas stands for.
After returning to Scotland, Darren created Blas to offer something rare: a private chef service that brings the standards of the world’s best kitchens into everyday spaces — your home, your table, your moment.
